TWG continues Wisconsin expansion with The Fort at the Rail Yard

Site preparation is underway for 225 unit market rate project coming to Green Bay, Wisconsin 2022.
TWG Development of Indianapolis plans to begin construction of The Fort at the Rail Yard in Green Bay, Wisconsin, a five story, mixed-use Opportunity Zone development. Built on the foundations of a British fort, it will offer 225 market rate apartments and 4,600 square feet of storefront retail space. Extensive amenities will include a rooftop deck, co-working & community lounge, 24/7 fitness center and yoga room, indoor bike storage, and a dog run. The project will continue TWG’s efforts to bring residential density to the mixed-use Rail Yard district, with TWG’s Broadway Lofts opening later this year with 107 mixed-income apartments.
The Rail Yard is a redevelopment of the historic Larsen Canning property, which just 6 years ago was on track to be razed and replaced with a Walmart Supercenter. Instead, the new district has activated over 400,000 square feet of vacant industrial assets into a walkable mix of office, retail, and residential destinations along the bank of the Fox River. The district hasĀ been a collaboration between the City of Green Bay, Base Companies, and DDL Holdings.
