Tony Knoble

Tony Knoble

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Tony Knoble is the co-founder of TWG Development and related entities.

Mr. Knoble graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business in the spring of 2006 earning a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance with a specialization in Real Estate. Mr. Knoble joined Pedcor Investments in May 2006. His responsibilities at Pedcor were to identify new developments in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Alabama and assist in the financing of those projects.

In 2007, Tony Knoble and Joe Whitsett co-founded TWG Development, LLC, a full-service real estate development company based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Tony is currently a board member of the Good House, and a member of Penrod Sociey. He has previously been on the Mapleton Fall Creek CDC Housing Committee and a member of the Housing Committee for the Super Bowl Legacy Project. He is a member of YPO Indiana. Tony is in the Indianapolis Business Journal's Forty Under 40 2017 class.

Tony enjoys spending time with his wife, Jamie, and his two children, Simon and Estelle.

Justin Collins

Justin Collins

Chief Finance Officer

Justin Collins grew up in Fort Wayne, IN and graduated from Ball State University in 2006 with a Master’s degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Indiana CPA Society.

Justin joined Dauby, O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC (DOZ) in July of 2006 specializing in rental real estate audits and tax returns. His primary responsibilities were to analyze and supervise the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, partnership agreements and low-income housing tax credit applications.

In 2012, Justin joined TWG Development, LLC, a full-service real estate development company based in Indianapolis, IN as the Vice President of Accounting. During his tenure, he oversaw all financial aspects of the real estate entities which developed over $700 million in development and over 5,000 units. During this period the company grew from 50 to over 200 employees and expanded from one to 12 states.

In 2019 he became an owner and the Chief Finance Officer. His primary responsibilities are to oversee the finances and operations of the development, construction, and management companies and provide strategic oversight.

Justin and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Fishers, IN and have five children, Shane, Libby, Sydney, James, and Savannah.

Kendrel Bretz

Chief Experience Officer

Kendrel Bretz serves as the Chief Experience Officer at TWG Development. Through intradepartmental collaboration and partnership, he advocates for the centrality of the customer (both internally and externally) in every business decision.

He graduated from Indiana University in 2007 with a B.S. in Global Communications and Culture. Since joining TWG in 2013, Kendrel has held numerous positions within the organization and, therefore, is uniquely positioned to help build on the company’s legacy while moving it forward.

As the CXO, he oversees hr, marketing, information technologies and communications/public relations - linking the four to elevate the brand and how its communicated to the public, cultivate an environment of collaboration and innovation, and the intentional implementation of technologies and digital resources to improve the customer experience.

Outside of work, Kendrel enjoys traveling with his husband, spending time at home with his two Doodles, and exploring the vast world of consumer technologies on Youtube.

J.B. Curry

J.B. Curry

President, Development

J.B. Curry joined TWG in 2014 and serves as President of TWG Development.

Mr. Curry oversees market rate and mixed-use multi-family development opportunities at TWG. His role includes acquisitions and negotiations, predevelopment due diligence efforts, market research, financial feasibility, deal underwriting, and securing financing. With TWG being a full-service developer, Mr. Curry also coordinates with design, preconstruction, construction, and management teams throughout the life of the project.

TWG’s market rate developments have recently expanded into Spokane, WA and Pittsburgh, PA with total costs in excess of $525MM across 2,900 units.

Mr. Curry graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2010 with a B.S. in Finance and minor in Political Science, and earned his J.D. from Indiana University – McKinney School of Law in 2013, where he served on the Indiana Health Law Review, Dean’s Tutorial Society, and founded the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.

Prior to joining TWG, Mr. Curry practiced law at Riley Bennett & Egloff, LLP where he represented clients in commercial and business litigation, as well as real estate transactions.

He serves on The Penrod Society “Evening with Penrod” committee supporting Indiana artists and enjoys traveling and the outdoors with friends and family.

John Sullivan

John Sullivan

Vice President of Tax Credit Development

John Sullivan joined TWG Development in 2013 and serves as the Vice President of Tax Credit Development. In this role, John has led the Tax Credit Development team in the acquisition and development of over 5,000 multifamily units throughout the United States with active tax credit properties in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin. He works with the development team through all phases of the development process, from site selection, structuring financing, local entitlements, securing tax credit allocations, construction oversight and property lease up.

John has been active in Affordable Housing since 2006, serving in roles on both the development and syndication side of the business.

John is a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business from which he earned both his Bachelor’s degree and Masters in Business Administration. John lives in Fishers, Indiana with his wife, Kate, their four children and two dogs. He enjoys mountain biking, skiing, boating, competing in Spartan Races and chasing his kids around.

Cody Semler

Controller

Cody joined the TWG team in 2015 and now serves as the Controller of TWG Development. He is responsible for managing the accounting processes for TWG’s development, construction, and management entities.

Cody graduated from Ball State University in 2013 with B.S. degrees in Accounting and Financial Analysis. After graduation he started his career in public accounting at Whitinger & Company LLC performing audit and tax services. During this time, Cody earned his CPA license and gained experience and interest in the Real Estate Development industry.

Outside of work Cody spends most of his time at Lake Tippecanoe with his wife, Jessica and son, Weston.

Taylor Haviland

Assistant Controller

Taylor Haviland joined TWG in 2018 and currently serves as the Assistant Controller. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing accounting procedures for the construction, development, and management departments.

Taylor graduated from Purdue University in 2015 with a double major in Accounting and Management with a minor in Finance. Following graduation, he started his career in public accounting at Dauby, O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC (DOZ) preparing audits for their rental real estate clients. During his 2.5 years at DOZ, Taylor acquired his CPA license.

Outside of work Taylor enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and dog.

Dustin Detzler

Dustin Detzler

General Counsel

Dustin Detzler is counsel for TWG Development, LLC and assists with commercial, market rate, affordable, senior, and mixed use developments. His focus is on due diligence and working with TWG’s investing and lending partners to close construction loans, permanent loans, equity investments and other financing.

Dustin graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2007 with B.S. in Finance. After graduation, Dustin worked in the financial services industry for 3 years before attending Indiana University – Robert H. McKinney School of Law and earning his J.D. in 2013. While in law school Dustin worked at Simon Property Group and rotated through its various legal divisions including finance, operations and development. Upon graduation, Dustin joined a local law firm as an associate in their Real Estate Group focusing on the buying, selling, leasing, developing, and financing of all types of commercial properties as well as real estate and business litigation.

Dustin joined TWG in 2015.

Ryan Kelly

Ryan Kelly

Acquisitions Director

Ryan Kelly, CPA, CGMA, joined TWG Development, LLC in 2017 and acts as the Acquisitions Director; overseeing LIHTC developments in Georgia and Colorado. His responsibilities include acquisitions, due diligence, financial analysis and structure, locating developments outside of TWG’s existing footprint, and creating applications for project funding. Mr. Kelly spent ten years in public accounting with the CPA firms Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski (DOZ) and Whitinger & Company, with a focus in the real estate industry.

Prior to joining TWG, Mr. Kelly was the chief financial officer of RealAmerica Development, a developer of affordable housing. In this role, Ryan structured and negotiated with debt and equity partners for all real estate transactions. He belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and served on the Indiana CPA Society Leadership Cabinet.

Mr. Kelly graduated from Ball State University in 2005 earning his B.A. in Accounting. Ryan is active in his community and serves on various boards.

Travis Vencel

Travis Vencel

Development Director

Travis Vencel joined TWG Development in 2019 as a Development Director. Mr. Vencel has been in real estate since 1990 as a broker, appraiser and developer.

Prior to joining TWG, Mr. Vencel served as Executive Vice President of Trinitas, a national student housing developer based in Lafayette, Indiana. In his role at Trinitas, Mr. Vencel was responsible for student and mixed-use developments across the country, specifically focused pre-development activities including market and site identification, design, entitlements, market research, and hand off to construction. Mr. Vencel also served as President of Heartland Development and Vencel Properties.

Mr. Vencel is a graduate of Hanover College and holds a designation from the Appraisal Institute. Mr. Vencel has served on many boards and commissions, including the Bloomington Plan Commission and the
Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.

Megan Adams

Megan Adams

Development Director

Megan Adams joined TWG Development, LLC in April 2020. Her responsibilities include securing sites, due diligence, partnerships with local agencies, contract negotiations, design and entitlement, underwriting, relationship building, and public and private funding for developments in Washington and Oregon.

Prior to TWG, Megan worked at Imagine Housing developing near Seattle where her team worked on projects using highly competitive 4% and 9% low income housing tax credit financing in a high-income, high-cost region. She graduated from University of Washington with a master’s degree in real estate development. She is additionally academically trained in urban planning, dance, environmental science, and outdoor recreation. Megan grew up surfing in San Diego and enjoys backpacking with her dogs and performance arts.

Michael Taft

Development Associate

Michael Taft joined TWG in 2018 as a Development Analyst assisting in commercial, market rate, and mixed-use developments. His responsibilities include acquisitions, due diligence, analyzing the financial feasibility of projects, coordinating development and financing structures, and locating developments outside of TWG’s existing footprint. Michael oversees market rate developments in Georgia, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

Michael graduated from Covenant College in Chattanooga, TN in 2018 with a double major in Economics and History, along with additional studies at Oxford University. While in undergrad, Michael worked for a variety urban development organizations including a neighborhood CDC, city planning department, and urban policy think tank. He is also a local history wonk and an avid music fan, having worked for an independent music label since the age of 16.

Doug Boehme

Doug Boehme joined TWG in 2018. His responsibilities include overseeing all development asset management duties on behalf of the owner of all market rate projects under construction.

Doug is a graduate of Wright State University earning a B.S. degree in Marketing. The early part of Doug’s career was devoted to business development and executive leadership in the technology world working for organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to privately held firms. Over the last ten years, he was engaged in the small business sector, providing consultation in the areas of strategic planning, start-up assistance, and exit strategy - most recently as a regional director for the Indiana Small Business Development Center. During his time at the ISBDC, Doug worked closely with various economic development organizations on a local, state, and national level.

Cyndee Meyer

Cyndee Meyer

Owner's Representative

Cyndee Meyer joined TWG in 2020 and serves as an Owner’s Representative. She graduated Ball State with a B.S. in Architecture. Her career has included working for both architecture and construction firms, with an emphasis on multifamily LIHTC and senior housing.

In her current role, she helps keep lenders and investors abreast of current construction projects and represents the owner to the construction team.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, nature, traveling, and playing in a few community bands.

Alex Frazier

Alex Frazier

Development Analyst

Alex graduated from Purdue University in 2015 and got a B.S. in Economics. Alex went to law school immediately after graduation, and received his J.D. in 2018 from Michigan State University College of Law.

After graduation, Alex worked as a commercial real estate broker in Indianapolis for about a year before joining TWG as a development analyst.

In his free time, he enjoys going to concerts, playing hockey, and following all Purdue sports.

Bridget Hilts

Senior Development Associate

As a Senior Development Associate, Bridget Hilts joined TWG Development, LLC in 2019 to help oversee LIHTC developments in Georgia, Colorado, Utah, Oklahoma, Ohio, Iowa, and Indiana. Her responsibilities include assisting on new constructions and acquisition/rehabs, managing the due diligence process, assembling tax credit applications, locating development opportunities, and creating relationships and processes to assist with communication between the company and outside vendors.

Prior to joining TWG, Bridget was the Marketing and IT Manager for RealAmerica Development, a developer of affordable housing. In this role, Bridget designed marketing materials; monitored and updated the company website and social media sites; planned grand openings, groundbreakings, staff events, and trainings; answered all media calls; and acted as liaison between third-party IT company and employees.

Bridget graduated from Ball State University in 2013 earning a B.S. in Marketing.

Marisa Conaster

Marisa Conaster

Development Associate

Marisa Conatser joined TWG Development in 2021 and serves as a Development Associate helping with LIHTC projects in states across the U.S. Her responsibilities include identifying and analyzing new opportunity areas outside of TWG’s current portfolio, assembling tax credit applications, and assisting on new construction and acquisition/rehabs.

Marisa graduated from Ball State University in 2021 with a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication Development. During her graduate program, Marisa worked as an Assistant Course Director at Ball State University and as the Director of Property Services for a local property management company.

Outside of work, Marisa enjoys traveling, hiking, and going to concerts.

Graham Parr

Graham Parr

Development Analyst

Graham Parr joined TWG in 2021 as a Development Analyst assisting in LIHTC and mixed-use developments. His responsibilities include due diligence, analyzing the financial feasibility of projects, identifying city, state, and federal funding sources, and identifying new development opportunities in the Midwest. Prior to TWG Graham resided in Chicago working in the Intellectual Property Valuation and Strategy industry.

Graham graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2018 with a B.S. in Finance, Economic Consulting, and Business Analytics. During his undergraduate career, Graham served on the coaching staff for the IU Swim & Dive Team.

Graham is active in the community as a long serving Associate of the Kids TRI For Kids Triathlon series.

Andrea Gregory

Andrea Gregory

Asset Manager

Andrea Gregory joined TWG in 2021 and serves as an Asset Manager for LIHTC new construction and acquisition/rehab developments in Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Georgia, and Colorado. She is a direct support for the Tax Credit Development Team providing due diligence to investors, working with third-party consultants, and performing filings with State Agencies and local Assessor’s and Auditor’s offices.

Andrea graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Merchandising and a Certificate in Business. After settling in Indianapolis, she found very little opportunity in the fashion industry and quickly shifted gears to finance. She worked for the oldest and largest independent investment firm, City Securities Corporation, for over 10 years. Working in Public Finance for several years, she eventually rounded out her time there in their LIHTC Syndication division. After several years staying home and raising children, she returned to the LIHTC industry working for RealAmerica Development as a Property Accountant overseeing construction draws and real estate tax filings. She moved on as a Project Accountant at Ratio Architects, an international design firm also based in Indianapolis, working with Project Directors/Architects on budgeting projects throughout the design and construction phases for such clients as Indiana University, Ball State, Purdue, University of Kentucky, Pacers, and Indiana Convention Center.

Outside of work Andrea lives in Meridian-Kessler where she spends time with her husband, two sons, cat and dog.

Development Analyst

John McClain joined TWG in 2021 as a Development Analyst with the market rate division and assists in commercial, market rate, and mixed-use developments. His responsibilities include financial feasibility, acquisitions & dispositions, due diligence, underwriting, analyzing market data, coordinating development and financing structures, along with working with lenders, investors, and local municipalities.

John graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2021 with a B.S. in Finance, Real Estate, and International Business.

Outside of work, John enjoys traveling, fishing, sailing, climbing, and skiing.

Chasity Sadowy

Chasity Sadowy

President, Property Management

Chasity Sadowy became involved in property management in 2005.

Chasity first entered the property management industry as the Compliance Assistant with
Pedcor Homes. In 2008 she accepted the Compliance Director position for Pedcor Homes.
While there she was responsible for all state reporting, investor reporting, file auditing, staff
training and overall compliance requirements for the LIHTC program for more than 4000
units in California, Illinois, Tennessee and Indiana.

Mrs. Sadowy holds several LIHTC designations such as Site Compliance Specialist (SCS),
National Compliance Professional (NCP) and Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP).
In March of 2014 Chasity joined the TWG Management team as the Compliance Director.
In September of 2014 she became the Regional Manager for the Affordable division of TWG
Management. In 2016, Chasity earned her Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation
through the Indiana Apartment Association and continues her involvement with the Indiana Apartment
Association. In January of 2018, Chasity became the Vice President of the Affordable Property
Management division for TWG Management.

Chasity is responsible for managing 23 properties in 4 different states, directing a staff of 35 that
consist of the Compliance Department, Area Managers, Service Coordinators, Maintenance and
Management staff at the site level. She ensures each community that TWG manages meets the
expectations of the ownership in the of area of financial performance, compliance, leasing,
maintenance and resident satisfaction.

Colleen Winship

Colleen Winship

Vice President of Operations

Colleen Winship provides support for TWG’s management software across all properties. She manages the external relationship with the software developers, manages the onboarding and training curriculum for new onsite employees, communicates and implements new upgrades and applications, ensures new and existing developments are properly recorded and managed in the software, among other projects.

Colleen joined TWG Development, LLC in 2014, shortly after graduating from Purdue University with a B.A. in Communications and a B.S. in Human Services. She has a solid foundation in management of tax credit and market rate properties gained through her experience managing several TWG Development, LLC properties from 2014 through 2016.

Colleen is the Vice President of the Midwest Support Foundation, a not-for-profit focusing on improving affordable housing. Colleen also holds a LIHTC designation as a Site Compliance Specialist (SCS).

Nina Robinson

Nina Robinson

Vice President of Property Management

Nina Robinson is Vice President of Property Management. She specializes in new construction, lease-ups, managing commercial tenants, and employee development. Her responsibilities include overseeing the portfolio’s operational and financial performance to ensure the achievement of the established objective.

Nina has over ten years of property management experience and has a strong background in affordable, conventional, and Section 8 market. Nina has acquired her Housing Credit Certified Professional and Certified Apartment Manager Certifications. Nina joined TWG Management in January 2015.

Nina spends most of her free time with her husband and their two boys. When she does have free time, she enjoys going to concerts, Netflix binging, and family vacations.

Tearra Dotson

Senior Regional Manager

Tearra joined TWG in July of 2011. Tearra has over 15 years of property management experience and has a strong background in affordable, conventional and Section 8 markets. She oversees the portfolio’s operational and financial performance to ensure achievement of established objectives, have direct accountability over Property Managers to ensure implementation and execution of all corporate policies and procedures and to meet owner’s expectations.

Tearra is originally from South Bend, Indiana and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Tearra also holds an Assisted Housing Manager (AHM) Certification.

In her spare time, she loves traveling and spending time with her family.

Stephanie Kelsey

Regional Manager

Stephanie has been a part of the TWG Team since May 2017. She started with the company as an Area Manager for the Iowa and Illinois affordable properties. Stephanie has 16 years of experience in the housing industry overall, with 9 of those years being in property management; more specifically, specializing in the affordable housing and Section 8 markets. Prior to joining TWG, Stephanie was the Senior Property Manager over the Eastern Iowa portfolio for Sherman Associates, Inc and has previous experience working with the Chicago Housing Authority.

She was promoted into the Regional Manager role in October 2019, in which she oversees the states of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Her responsibilities include the day to day operations, overall management of multiple sites, and site personnel performance.

Stephanie has acquired her Certified Apartment Manager certification she gained through the National Apartments Association and she holds real estate brokerage licenses in the states of Iowa and Indiana. In college, she majored in Business Management and minored in Marketing.

Stephanie enjoys spending quality time with her twin sons, traveling, and she is a foodie; therefore, she enjoys trying food from different cultures, and cooking.

Timika Johnson

Timika Johnson

Compliance Director

Timika is currently the Compliance Director for TWG Management. Her position currently encompasses administering and maintaining compliance within the affordable portfolio by keeping abreast of changes relevant to the affordable housing industry. She is also responsible for the managing, tracking and response procedures for LIHTC audits, lease ups and state or investor audits.

She has 19 years of Affordable Housing experience. She began her career as an Occupancy Specialist for the Section 8 department at the Muncie Housing Authority. In 2007, she later transitioned to the LIHTC industry, where she held such positions as a Compliance Administrator, Assistant Property Manager and Senior Compliance Specialist. Timika holds a Bachelor of Administration degree in Management from Indiana Institute of Technology and an Associates of Applied Science degree from Harrison College. Additionally, she holds nationally recognized designations including Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) through NAHB and Tax Credit Compliance Systems (TaCCs) through Quadel.

Keith Colgan

President, Construction

With over three decades of experience, Keith has successfully delivered projects of more than 8 million square feet with construction values exceeding $1 billion. Projects have ranged in size from $250,000 to $350,000,000.

Keith has managed a variety of construction projects types to include Class A Office, Healthcare/Medical, Higher Education, Industrial, Hospitality/Resort and over 2,800 Residential Multi-Family units throughout the eastern and mid-western United States.

Keith graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Landscape Architecture followed by Graduate studies in Construction Management at New York University and Real Estate Development Finance at Harvard University.

Keith Joined TWG in December 2017.

Matt Kompara

Matt Kompara

Senior Vice President of Preconstruction

Matt Kompara is the Senior Vice President of Preconstruction at TWG. His responsibilities included conceptual estimating, design management, project bidding, and subcontractor procurement.

Matt graduated from Purdue University, College of Engineering with a BS in Construction Engineering & Management, and from Indiana State University, Scott College of Business with a Master of Business Administration. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional. Matt has experience in the construction industry since 2006 including hospitality, multi-family, student housing, and retail / mixed use. Previous employers Pankow Builders, LLC and Thompson Thrift Construction, Inc.

Ryan Fitzpatrick

Ryan Fitzpatrick

Vice President of Construction Operations

Ryan joined TWG Construction in 2016 as a Preconstruction Manager then Production Executive, and now serves as Vice President of Construction Operations. His responsibilities include management of project path scheduling, quality control, and TWG University training.

Prior to joining TWG, Ryan held industry positions including Field Superintendent, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Director of Development and Maintenance for a regional restaurant franchisee. He has managed a variety of construction projects including office/retail, car dealership and service, healthcare, restaurant, and multi-family. He was Construction Manager for the first LEED-certified restaurant in Indiana, and lead the construction of the Storybook Express project in Kokomo, IN which was featured in Roadside America and American Dirt publications for its creative use of salvaged building materials. In addition to his construction achievements, Ryan was the founder of ‘Service My Restaurants,’ a full-service maintenance company specializing in restaurant equipment repair and building services.

Ryan graduated from Purdue University, College of Technology in 2005 with a BS in Building Construction Management. He is a LEED-AP Fellow, 2010 Byron Fellowship participant, and previously held position as Regional Ambassador for the Living Building Challenge.

Ryan is happily married to Jill and they have 3 children, Adelyn, Hazel, and Emily.

Richard Huston

Richard Huston

Director of Construction Operations

Richard joined TWG Construction in 2017 as a Project Manager and now serves as Director of Construction Operations. His responsibilities include managing his project teams, working with Subcontractors and Suppliers, and communicating with Development and Management to ensure that projects are on time and within budget.

Richard graduated from Purdue University, College of Technology with a BS in Building Construction Management Technology with a specialization in Residential Construction in 2002. Richard has experience in the commercial, residential, and multi-family construction industries.

Richard is happily married and has two children. When not working he enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping, hiking and riding his motorcycle.

Holly MacDougall

Holly MacDougall

HR and Talent Manager

Holly MacDougall is the HR and Talent Manager for TWG Development. She is responsible for full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition, strategic planning and employee development. Holly graduated from Ball State University College of Business earning a B.A. degree in Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management. Prior to joining TWG, Holly joined the department of Human Resources at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine, a neurosurgical practice based out of IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. While working at GCBS, she focused on talent recruitment and acquisition, talent development and employee engagement initiatives to increase productivity and improve company culture. Her previous experience also includes working as a Technical Recruiter for a local search firm. Holly started her Human Resources career at Foxconn, Inc., the world's largest Taiwanese electronics manufacturer, where she redesigned and implemented a new compensation structure for 850 employees. Holly joined TWG Development in 2017.

Nate Caldwell

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Nate Caldwell is the Talent Acquisition Specialist for TWG Development and is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. Nate graduated from Ohio University’s College of Business earning a B.A. degree in Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration.
Prior to joining TWG in 2019, Nate had 9 years of talent acquisition experience in the logistics and healthcare industry.

Outside of work, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, Kit and Quinn. He also likes to spend his spare time outdoors fishing and golfing.

Kristen Hicks

Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

Kristen Hicks is the the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator for TWG and joined the company in 2019. Her main responsibilities include processing payroll and managing employee benefit plans. Kristen works directly with HR and Talent Manager, Talent Acquisition Specialist and CXO to plan events, monitor employee experience and implement policy changes. She is also an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Prior to joining TWG, Kristen worked for the Justice Companies. There she joined the HR department as the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator and worked as the point of contact for over 500 employees.

Kristen and her husband Jake have 2 children, Kyleigh, and Nathen. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending her summers at the lake with her family and friends. She also likes to plan and host events and travel with her friends.

Mike Thomas

Director of Architecture

Mike Thomas joined TWG in 2016 as the director architecture with the mission of bringing the design process in house. He brings with him a background in tax credit development and design with two other local development companies. He held the roles of architect of record and architectural project manager, each with its own benefits to the developers.

Born and raised in Indiana, Mike attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated with a degree in Architecture. Upon graduation, Mike moved to Florida where he earned his architectural license and gained a wide variety of professional experience working mostly in high-end residential design. After a downturn in the high-end market, Mike returned to the Midwest. Eventually, he settled in Indianapolis and establishing a career in the multi-family market with a focus on LIHTC projects.
Mike is currently licensed to practice architecture in 16 states and is the architect of record on over $150 Million worth of construction throughout the country. His portfolio includes numerous projects that have achieved green certifications including LEED Silver and Gold, Enterprise Green and Energy Star. He is also certified as an Earthcraft Building Professional in Virginia.

Billy Ponko

Billy Ponko joined TWG in 2018 as part of the architectural team. He has spent the last 3 years focused on multi-family projects driven by efficient and thorough design. As a Project Manager he’ll manage outside design consultants and liaison with our Pre-construction department. In addition he’ll help establish interoffice procedures, design standards, and evaluate materials. We are excited to explore the benefits of national purchase agreements and streamline the design and bidding processes.

Billy graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2003 with a degree in Architecture. Prior to multi-family, he worked on a broad range of building types and organized manufacturing processes for major Universities and Fortune 500 companies across the country. He has a passion for sustainable design by finding ways to improve on traditional construction methods and techniques. His goal is to achieve the same results, at lower costs and while remaining compatible with a broader segment of the construction industry.

James Viviani

Architect

James Viviani joined TWG in 2017 as a member of the in-house architecture team, bringing experience in market rate and low-income multi-family residential, senior living, retail, and office design and construction. Prior to joining TWG, he worked in architectural firms in his hometown of Cleveland, OH where he served a variety of clients including real estate developers, non-profit organizations, and professional services firms. He has been involved in projects across a dozen states and a wide range of construction types.

James graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC with a degree in architecture and has nearly fifteen years of experience in the architecture and construction industry. He has practiced across the range of interior architecture, new construction, substantial rehabilitation, and historic preservation. His interest in sustainability has served in the completion of myriad projects that achieved green certification under many different standards such as LEED and Enterprise Green Communities. His skills in design, project management, and contract administration support the mission of the design team at TWG.

Josh Hogan

Civil Engineer

Josh Hogan joined TWG in June of 2020 as a Civil Engineer within its architecture division. Josh comes to TWG with over 15 years of land development, civil site engineering, and traffic engineering experience. His expertise in land development services include traffic analysis, conceptual layouts, civil site construction plans, zoning assistance, drainage design and analysis, floodplain management consulting, municipal plan reviews and utility design and coordination.

Josh’s management of land development projects includes many aspects of civil site engineering on projects ranging in size from less than an acre up to hundreds of acres as well as management of engineering projects to ensure quality plans and specifications are delivered to our clients within the projects’ scopes.

Josh earned his Indiana Professional Engineer License in 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Kelsey Parkison

Interior Designer

Kelsey joined the TWG team in 2019 with the architecture department as the in-house Interior Designer. Upon graduating from Indiana University, Kelsey started her career as a designer in the multi-family design community, designing interiors for various developers across the country. While her experience focused mainly on multi-family developments, she also explored hotel, restaurant, office, and residential design – working on a variety of project types.

As TWG’s in-house Interior Designer, her responsibilities include managing and overseeing the work of design consultants for the design of TWG’s properties, determining and maintaining design standards for finishes and furnishings used, as well as designing projects in-house. Kelsey has set up standards for units and clubhouses, maintaining that each property has its unique needs met with the interior finishes and furniture needs for both office staff and residents at each property.

Carter Winslow

Architectural Staff

Carter Winslow joined TWG Development, LLC at the beginning of 2020 and serves as an assistant on the architecture staff.

Mr. Winslow assists staff architects and projects managers on market rate, LIHTC, and rehabilitation projects within the TWG portfolio.

Prior to joining TWG, Mr. Winslow graduated from Ball State University in 2019 with a B.S. in architecture and minor in real estate development.

Carter spends his spare time with friends and family, and enjoys volunteering, hiking, biking and is an avid fan of basketball and soccer.

Joel Henney

Vice President of Finance

Joel leads the team’s financing function while managing relationships with existing financial partners related to new transactions and existing properties in the portfolio.

Joel graduated from University of Cincinnati Linder School of Business earning a B.S. degree in Finance. Joel started his career with the Miller Valentine Group, where his responsibilities included sourcing, underwriting, and closing multifamily developments. Then Joel accepted a position at Herman and Kittle Properties, Inc. and spent 5 years there (the last 4 spent as the VP of Finance running their finance group). While at Herman & Kittle, Joel financed over 4,500 affordable and market rate apartment units in over 15 different states.

Joel joined TWG Development, LLC as the Vice President of Finance to continue to build and expand the company’s existing financing relationships, while focusing on project financing, deal structuring, and the closing process.

Joel spends most of his free time with his wife and 3 beautiful daughters. Weekends are spent traveling from soccer game to soccer game. When he does have spare time it is spent golfing, playing pickup basketball, and watching the NBA.

Anne Bridges

Senior Financial Analyst

Anne Bridges joined TWG in 2021 and serves as the Senior Financial Analyst of the Finance Department. In her role, Anne collaborates with debt and equity providers to structure project financing and secure tax credit equity investments.

Anne brings a depth of knowledge to the TWG team with over 12 years of commercial banking experience within the general commercial real estate and the affordable housing sectors. Her experience includes underwriting construction and permanent debt, as well as LIHTC equity for both direct and syndicated transactions. Anne specializes in loan structuring, financial analysis, risk management, and return on investment analysis. During her banking tenure, she underwrote over 100 affordable housing transactions totaling over $500 million in LIHTC equity, $300 million in debt, and managed a commercial portfolio exceeding $200 million.

Anne is a 2008 graduate of Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a B.S. in Finance. She resides in Greenfield, IN with her husband Zach and their two children Finnley and Brogan. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her kids.

Adam Vaal joined TWG in 2018 as an analyst in the finance department. Adam works closely with internal developers and external financing partners to close on development projects. His responsibilities include identifying debt and equity financing for LIHTC projects, managing due diligence, reviewing financing and partnership documents, and GP Dispositions.

Adam graduated from The University of Southern Indiana in 2011 earning his B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics, as well as a Graduate Certificate of Financial Planning from Bryant University. While at USI, Adam co-founded and operated the Economics & Finance Club.

After a 5 year stint in Financial Planning, Adam joined the Development world with CREA, LLC in Indianapolis, where his responsibilities included underwriting new LIHTC apartment projects as well as reviewing the performance of existing projects in the portfolio.

Grant Deaton

Financial Analyst

Grant Deaton joined TWG Development, LLC in 2020 as a Financial Analyst and serves the Market Rate Development and Finance departments. Grant assists with the team’s financing function while working closely with internal developers and external financing sources to close on projects. His responsibilities include underwriting new market rate and LIHTC development projects, managing due diligence, identifying debt and equity financing for LIHTC developments, and assisting in market rate asset disposition.

Grant graduated from the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business in 2020 earning a B.S. degree in Finance. While in school, Grant was involved in Greek Life as he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and served as the VP of Finance for the Interfraternity Council. He was also an avid member of the Finance Society.

In his free time, Grant enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their Golden Retriever, Baker, playing golf, going to the lake, and watching baseball. Although he is a Wildcat in Hoosier country, he roots for IU baseball as his little brother is a member of the team.
